Finally some snow in Springfield!

The first big snow of the season came in late January and we missed school for a couple of days. Serves Missouri State University right for starting this semester a week early! In celebration, many took to the slopes at Jordan Valley Park, including this skier.

Turns out he traveled a lot farther than I thought he would.

About Yours Truly

My name is Ben Fry and as of this blog writing, I am a senior Broadcast Journalism major at Missouri State University. I decided to take photojournalism because I wanted a fun media class to fill a few elective hours I need. Also, I wanted to hone my still photography skills because I have a pretty nice digital single reflex lense camera that doesn’t get nearly enough use. I am from “the middle of nowhere” Washburn, Missouri; though I always love the prospect of going home as a break from the big city bustle. I know, for some considering Springfield a “big city” can be inaccurate, but from my perspective not so much. After graduation, I hope to either become a television news producer or a radio reporter.
